Save your Kraft singles wrappers for us our trip to see the Akron Aeros on August 10! The wrappers allow us to buy one ticket and get the next free! Please give the wrappers to Molly. All ages are welcome to come to this fun night at the ballpark. Tickets for all ages will be $5 a piece (children 3 and under are free). Adults, if you are planning on going please let Molly know so we can make sure we have enough vehicles traveling. We will be leaving the church at 5:45 pm.
Our annual church picnic will be on August 22 at Baylor Beach following the morning worship service. Belloni’s chicken will be provided as the main meal, so please bring a side dish or dessert to share with everyone and come out and enjoy the day with your church family.
Our next community dinner hosted at BFC will be on Thursday, August 12. We’ll be having an air conditioned picnic with Bratwurst and hot dogs as well as salad, sides, and dessert. Community dinners are hosted at churches throughout the Fairless community every Thursday from 5 to 6:30.
The Friends Community Chorus is gearing up a very exciting 2nd season. The group is looking for all able and willing singers who can match pitch to join us for this upcoming concert season. Rehearsals are from 7-9pm on Tuesday evenings. The First rehearsal will be on September 7th, 2010 at Brewster Friends Church, 139 West Main Street, Brewster, Ohio, 44613. Snacks and Drinks will be available for the fun that evening. This year, the choir was invited to sing as a part of the Festival of Lessons and Carols at St. Clement Catholic Church in Navarre, for the Chirstmas Eve Service here at Brewster Friends, and up at Brewster Parke. We look forward to serving our greater community through music. Ladies’ Workout Night is every Monday at 7pm in the Family Life Center. Anyone is welcome to participate in the evening of light workout and fellowship.
The Ladie’s Sewing Group will meet on Saturday, August 29 starting at 9am. All ladies are welcome to bring their sewing projects and equipment and have the spacious Family Life Center to work in. Bring a brown bag lunch with you and spend a few hours of the whole day! A donation of $5 is recommended.
